K-5 Art Shows and Art Curators

Each Spring, we hosted a school-wide art show featuring artwork by every student in the school. The evening reception was a wonderful celebration of student creativity and proud students guided their families and friends to their artwork.

The Art Curators Group was composed of 4th and 5th graders on the student leadership council who worked with me on special projects throughout the year, including designing special activities for art show attendees and co-hosting the event. These photos include examples of the Art Curators having fun in these roles.

Art curator students dressed as famous artists and guests had to ask questions and get hints to discover which famous artists were attending the event! Also pictured is a scavenger hunt which encouraged visitors to look at the artwork throughout the school.
